Mountain Biking

Afan Forest Park is home to five world-class trails with over 100km of single track, and only 30 minutes away!
Mountain Biking Brecon Beacons for graded mountain bike routes between 5-50km around the Brecon Beacons.

Rock Climbing

Summit Centre (formerly the Welsh International Climbing Centre) at Trelewis south of Merthy Tydfil.  18m high climbing walls, separate bouldering area and manmade caving system with internal waterfall.


Walks

A footpath runs north westwards past the centre joining a bridleway at GRSN919080. Turning left (south westwards) goes over Craig y Ddinas to Pontneddfechan. Turning right goes to Penderyn.

By a large oak tree at GRSN916081 turn right for the 'Waterfall Walk'.
